The reconstruction of existing switchgear and devices, the replacement of low-oil circuit breakers using vacuum technology, and the use of new control and protection systems have been a part of our service since 1997. We also offer the use of load management control systems for guided nominal current increase and the subsequent installation of monitoring sensors e.g. for insulation monitoring or temperature monitoring in existing technology. This saves on investment and maintenance costs, also in new plants. Retrofitting can be done, in part, while the plant is in operation if plant components can be unlocked safely and if there is the access to the current-carrying contacts and connections. Current and voltage transformers, generators, motors, transformers and capacitors may also be involved in the monitoring.
These systems must be adjusted to the specific operating conditions. Therefore, we recommend that the software be adapted and a comparison test of the parameters be performed on site during the adjustment period of the system.
